M. Lewis Stein
M. Lewis Stein, the Manuscript Doctor, is an author of several books and hundreds of magazine and newspaper articles. His books include "How to Write Plain English" and "Write Clearly…Speak Effectively." He is a former professor of writing at New York University and California State University, Long Beach. Stein is a member of the American Society of Journalists & Authors, Inc. His clients are from all over the United States.
Rates
The fee for line editing of typed, double-spaced manuscripts is $2 per page. Rewrite is on a flat-fee basis but no rewrite will begin without previous consultation with the writer. Half the fee is to be paid in advance and the rest on delivery of the edited or rewritten material to the author. Full payment is expected in advance for very short pieces.
